Four ways to cover a house. We install all four.

Most residential roofers sell one system and bend every house toward it. We carry four, and the recommendation follows the pitch, the deck, the exposure, and how long you plan to own the place.

The default for most Pennsylvania homes, and the system where installation quality matters more than the label on the bundle. Ice-and-water at the eaves and valleys, correct starter and ridge detailing, and ventilation balanced to the attic — the parts nobody sees are the parts that fail first. Class 4 impact-rated laminates are worth specifying anywhere hail is a routine event.

On a tile roof the tile is the rain screen and the underlayment is the roof. Most tile "failures" are underlayment failures with perfectly good tile sitting on top — which is why a tile reroof is usually a lift-and-relay, not a tear-off. We inventory, stack, and reset the field tile and replace only what breaks.

The traditional roof for the region's farmhouses and bank barns, and still the most honest answer for a long roof plane with a lot of weather on it. Standing seam hides its fasteners and moves with temperature; exposed-fastener panel is the economical choice for agricultural buildings. Snow retention gets designed in, not added after the first slide.

Nearly every older house has one — a porch roof, a rear addition, a shed dormer — and it is almost always where the leak is. Shingles do not belong below 3:12. We detail these sections as real low-slope assemblies, with the transition to the steep-slope field flashed as a deliberate joint rather than an afterthought.

We are fluent in claims work. We are not storm chasers.

Hail, wind, and ice damage are ordinary events in both regions we work in. Handled properly, a claim is a documentation exercise — not a sales opportunity.

Honest inspection first

We tell you whether you have a claim before anyone files one. Sometimes the answer is that you have a repair, not a claim — and we'd rather say so.

Documented damage

Photographed, measured, and mapped to the slope. The adjuster receives a record that matches what is actually on the roof.

We meet the adjuster

On the roof, on your behalf, so the scope is agreed in person rather than negotiated by email over the following six weeks.

Scope & supplements

Estimates written in the carrier's own format, with supplements filed for code items and conditions found after tear-off.

Work to the scope

You pay your deductible and nothing else. We do not inflate scope, and we will not discount a deductible — that practice is insurance fraud.

A note on how this usually goes wrong: after a storm, crews arrive from out of state, knock doors, promise a free roof, file an aggressive claim, and leave the region before the warranty means anything. We are licensed in Arizona and Pennsylvania, we are here in both, and our name is on the work long after the claim closes.

Inspection

On the roof and in the attic. Ventilation, decking condition, flashing, and prior repairs all assessed before a number is written.

Written proposal

System, underlayment, flashing details, ventilation plan, and exclusions in plain language. One page you can actually compare.

Protection & tear-off

Landscaping and siding protected, decking inspected once exposed, and rotten sheathing replaced at a stated per-sheet price.

Installation

Manufacturer specification, no shortcuts at the details that matter — eaves, valleys, penetrations, and the low-slope transitions.

05

Closeout

Magnetic sweep, photo record of the completed details, registered manufacturer warranty, and our workmanship warranty in writing.
